Our CEO, Mrs Carole Ramella, attended the 8th session of the Africa SME Champions Forum in Lomé on the 5th and 6th of October which was organized by AfricSearch, one of Africa’s leading headhunting and human resources consulting firms. The event was officially launched by the Prime Minister of Togo, Victoire Tomegah-Dogne, and emphasised SMEs’ vital role in the African economy.
SMEs are acknowledged as the backbone of African economies, with the potential to create millions of jobs. However, overcoming growth challenges and securing substantial funding are critical hurdles that SMEs must address. Partnerships, exemplified by the agreement signed with the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) or the launch of the Gervais Koffi Djondo Foundation, were some of the initiatives that took place during the African SME Champions Forum to support SME growth and improve their capacity to access funding.
The Africa SME Champions Forum provides a great platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and solution-finding. This event is crucial to empowering SMEs to thrive and succeed in Africa.
